The CE Credit Co-Sponsorship Program is available to all Certified MSC teachers who wish to offer CE credit when teaching an 8-week MSC, 5-day MSC Intensive, MSC Core Skills (2-day in person or 4-day online), 6-week SCHC, 6-week SC-MSC, or 10-week LOMSC.
Teachers enrolled in the UCSD MBPTI MSC Certification Pathway with a mentor may also enroll to offer CEs for the 6-week SCHC and SC-MSC.

Upon enrolling, please submit the CE Co-Sponsorship Pre-Course Application Form at least 7 days prior to the start of the course. The following documents are required to complete the form.

Promotional Materials with Official CE Statement
Promotional materials (web pages, flyers, email announcements) should include the MSC course description, objectives, dates and location, course fees, and teacher(s)' bio(s).

- Develop and apply self-compassion practices to motivate themselves with encouragement rather than self-criticism.
- Assess and manage difficult situations and emotions with greater moment-to-moment acceptance.
- Develop and apply self-compassion practices to respond to feelings of failure or inadequacy with self-kindness.
- Apply self-validation to transform difficult relationships, old and new.
- Utilize the art of savoring and self-appreciation to overcome negative attention bias.

- Demonstrate simple self-compassion practices to patients, students, or clients.

- Identify the three key components of self-compassion.
- Describe key research that supports the benefits of self-compassion.
- Apply techniques to increase self-compassion in everyday life.
- Use self-compassion to alleviate caregiver burnout.
- Utilize self-compassion practice to motivate behavior change.
- Develop and apply self-compassion practices to respond to feelings of failure or inadequacy with self-kindness.
- Assess and manage difficult situations and emotions with greater moment-to-moment acceptance.
Learning Objectives — 6-week SCHC and SC-MSC
These objectives must be included in your promotional materials.
- Describe the main components of self-compassion and mindfulness and how they may be integrated into their role as healthcare professionals.
- Explain the difference between empathy and compassion and utilize strategies to avoid emotional exhaustion.
- Demonstrate strategies they can use on the job to regulate difficult emotions while caring for others in pain.
- Apply at least one skill from each session to help them regulate emotions and care for themselves emotionally while caring for others who are experiencing difficulty.
CE Certificate
Provide a CE certificate to each participant who requested CE credit upon completion of the course. Use the correct credit hours for your course format:
MSC Core Skills (2-day / 4-day online): 11.0 APA / 13.0 BRN
6-week SCHC & SC-MSC: 6.0 APA / 7.0 BRN
10-week LOMSC: 23.0 APA / 27.5 BRN

Please review the sample evaluation form. Evaluation forms must include measurable assessment questions for the Learning Objectives, plus the following required questions:
